Basic skills necessary
- Basic sewing skills, you should be familiar with sewing patterns.
Materials
• 1/3 yard 44” exterior fabric
• 1/2 yard 44” contrasting fabric
• 3/4 yard 44” quilting weight lining fabric
• 3 yards fusible woven interfacing - 20” wide (Pellon SF-101 Shapeflex)
(1-1/4 yards if using 45” wide)
• 3/4 yard sew-in Foam Stabilizer - 20” wide (Pellon flex foam or Soft & Stable)
• 9” x 3” piece of fusible stiff stabilizer (Pellon Peltex / Decovil Heavy)
• 9” x 3.5” piece of Decovil Light / Décor Bond (exterior horizontal zipper flap, main zipper closure stabilizer)
• One 12” or longer #4.5 / #5 zipper (main zipper closure)
• Two 8” or longer #4.5 / #5 zipper (exterior horizontal & vertical zipper pockets)
• One 10” or longer #3 zipper (interior zipper pocket)
• One zipper end
• Two 1” D-rings
• Two 1” swivel hooks
• One 1" slider
• Two – 1” strap end cap (only if using vinyl/cork)
• Four double cap rivets – post size 8mm (10mm if using thicker fabrics)
• Fray Check
• Fabric glue and double-sided tape
