1/3 yard (1/3m) quilting weight exterior fabric, 44" (112cm) wide

Important - If you’re sewing this bag on a domestic sewing machine, avoid using thick or bulky materials. Opt for quilting-weight fabrics for the best result

1/2 yard (1/2m) quilting weight or vinyl/cork contrasting fabric, 44" (112cm) wide
3/4 yard (3/4m) quilting weight lining fabric, 44" (112cm) wide
2 yards (2m) fusible woven interfacing, 20" (51cm) wide (Pellon SF-101 Shapeflex) (1-1/4 yards (1-1/4m) if using 45" (115cm) wide
3/4 yards (3/4m) foam stabilizer, 20" (51cm) wide (Pellon Flex Foam, ByAnnie’s Soft Stable)
12" x 1" (31cm x 3cm) piece of Decovil Light / Décor Bond for Zipper flap and Connectors
One 9" or longer (23cm) #4.5 / #5 zipper (Exterior zipper pocket)
One 9” or longer (23cm) #3 / #4.5 / #5 zipper (Interior zipper pocket)
One 20” (51cm) or longer double pull #4.5 / #5 zipper (Main zipper)

Note - You only need a 16" long zipper, but using a longer zipper will make it easier to attach and topstitch the panels and gusset. You can also use a single pull zipper.

Optional - Two double cap rivets - post size 8mm (10mm if using thicker fabrics)

Note - You can also use Chicago Screws.

Pattern skill level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate

This pattern is suitable for confident beginners who have experience sewing bags and are comfortable working with zippers, pockets and multiple layers of fabric. Some steps may require extra care and precision, particularly when sewing the exterior zipper pocket with the flap.
